That makes it the cheapest of the 27 giant breeds we track, 11% under the group average.
Food is the largest line at 38%. At 92.5 lb this dog needs about 1,846 kcal a day — roughly 34 lb of kibble a month — so brand and tier matter more than for a smaller dog: $1,092 to $1,329 a year across the standard kibbles we priced ($1,243 at the median), and several times that on fresh food. Insurance is the next line at 25%.
Ranked No. 66 of 202, it is common enough that most vets and groomers see the breed regularly. Males run about 15 lb heavier than females, which is enough to move a male into a higher parasite-prevention band — the panel's weight setting matters here.
A short double coat sheds hard twice a year but needs no clipping; most owners manage with a de-shedding brush and a few baths. Salon visits are optional — the $24 shown assumes home grooming only.
